Title.
I’m shopping on Amazon, I have been looking at their promoted ”Rollo Wireless thermal printer” I can’t afford a PC/Laptop right now just for printing and would like to stick with my phone.
So wireless is preferred, ideally I just want it to show up as a printer and not have to use an APP to connect to it.
Who here has what and how much do you love/hate your label/shipping printer?
UPDATE
I went with a Brother QL1110NWB, its wireless and works with air drop or Bluetooth, can print 4x6 and use smaller custom sized labels and it can also be used with batteries.
I have a Brother laser printer and it’s done solid work and hasn’t broke on me yet so I’m gonna try another one of their products.
If anyone is interested I can post an update in a couple weeks once I let my inventory go live again and start using it.
Another reason I went with the brother over many of the other brands is that I have seen people complaining that their printers DPI needs to be at least 3 or USPS and UPS were having trouble scanning their labels.
The rollo was like 200 DPI while the Brother was 300 and I can’t really afford to not use it if the labels don’t scan so I bit the bullet for a more expensive one.
I've been using regulr paper and just taping the label onto the box, but I'm sick of how messy its making the box look. I'm wanting to look into actual sticky paper for labels.
I'm just not sure whether to invest in a label printer, or to just get label paper, such as these: https://a.co/d/eGoQg94
While the paper may be more budget friendly, I'm wondering if the whole dedicated label printer would be better in the long run, and waste wise. I just go through so much tape, it just feels like such a waste.
Anyways, if you do have a label printer, do you recommend it versus a regular printer? Can you just put any old label paper in there or does it have to be a specific brand/type? Can you send labels to it via bluetooth or the cloud or the like? Do the labels stick okay or would I need to tape it down as well? What label printer would you recommend, or does any old amazon one work? How much is too much for a label printer? What should I look for in one?
Thank you all in advance! I'm just growing beyond what I've ever imagined, and I'm excited to see where this goes! I just want my packages to look professional.

What would you say is the best thermal printer for printing out address labels ?!
My biggest annoyance in the world is having to ship something, whether it’s returning something to Amazon or selling something online. Nobody I know has a printer, and no stores near me will allow me to print something.
I need a printer that is cheap, uses lasers so I don’t need ink and will be used literally once every month or two for shipping labels.
Does a product like that exist?
I’m looking for a recommended thermal printer for my shipping labels. Some are Bluetooth while others are wired. I’ll be using an iPhone for printing. Would love to hear from users w experience and suggestions on which to buy, avoid, etc.
Wired to a laptop? iOS Bluetooth?
Have considered units like the ones in the photo.
I bought a used Zebra LP2844Z off Ebay and it has all these issues printing USPS labels and constantly spits out / wastes extra labels. The drivers are messy, the fixes are messy, and I'm tired of constantly having to fix it. Is there any brand known for just plugging in, installing the driver, and it prints any label without needing configuring for under $200 new or used?
I was against buying this thinking it is just one more unnecssary thing, but changed my mind after the crazy sales i had during the Blackfriday week. I was doing retail arbitrage for BF products and still doing 3-10 sales per day with the inventory.

I miss labeld two packages and that cost me 2 more shipping labels and disappointed customers. Fortunately they were nice enough to understand the mistake but i payed like $15 more for it. If this happens two more times it will cost same as a cheap thermal printer. I think a label printer will help me avoid this mistake not totally but mostly.

I am getting paranoid of miss labeling since then. Always double checking the products.

If i print 5-10 labels from my HP printer and then try to cut and tape it i get confused easily. Especially UPS and FEDEX won't have the item name on the lables so i get easily confused. USPS ebay's label has the item next to the label so i am ok with that. Maybe there are some timps about this but this is my situation.

Heard lables are free. Tape is not. Paper is not.
I’m currently thinking about getting one, but all of them are either extremely pricy to buy and to refill or there ain’t enough information about the product.
I ain’t really willing to pay >0.1€ per printing label, excluding other expenses like the printer itself.
My boyfriend sells baseball cards on Ebay. He ships out SO much, and for Christmas i would like to get him a label printer and figure out how he can ship out his cards with a lot less effort (he goes to the post office to pay for the packages constantly.)
So I guess I am asking:
What label printers do you all use to print off shipping labels?
Can you ship out cards with tracking in a small envelope to create cheaper shipping?
If there is something else you all can think of that I am not asking, please let me know! Thanks.
I’m new to selling on etsy and my first sale was kinda unexpected so I ended up just writing the information (to and from) on the package. I also was thinking about just printing the labels myself but I have no idea what the weight is and I also don’t have a shipping label printer yet . do you just let the post office handle the labeling or do you do it on your own ? and if so do you have a scale ??
I am currently using a regular printer and I am running out of shipping labels and I want to make the switch to a shipping label printer. I’ve seen most people use Rollo, but I’m curious if there are any others that you like using. Pros/cons would be great!
I'm looking to buy a label maker, but I want one which prints labels which actually STICK to what you put them on. I want to use this to label make labels for things in the shop, and cable labels.
Bottom line, I'm sick of screwing around with label makers which print out a label which peels off 5 minutes later, or labels you can't peel the back off of to even stick them.
I'm looking at this Brother industrial label maker, but also interested to hear what other, better, options may be available out there. My budget is flexible, but a label maker shouldn't cost $200 bucks.
Suggestions?
TIA
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good label maker for marking cables, equipment, etc? I've found that our current label maker labels peel off of the cables after being in the server rack for a few weeks probably due to cheap adhesive.
Cost isn't really a concern. Thanks.
UPDATE: I ended up getting 2 Panduit MP300 units via their dead or alive promo. Free label maker although now someone has to pay for the labels.
I'm on the market for a label printer to use for labeling servers and networking cabling. My main concern is labels/tape that won't stick to the cables or the back sides of servers where the temp can be warmer from the device itself, or cool depending on if a fan is blowing on it. I'm currently looking at this one: https://www.amazon.com/Brother-PT-E300-Industrial-Handheld-Labeling/dp/B00F6EOVDC/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=industrial%2Blabel%2Bprinter&sr=8-6&th=1
Any recommendations?
Hi all! Not sure if this is the right sub, but would love to get some help.
We create small labels to stick onto our products to identify SKU/name of product (clothing).
These labels are typically 10cm in length and 3cm in width.
At the moment, we're using a thermal label to print them onto an a5 page, and then we cut them one by one to get them into the right dimensions (laborious).
We firstly write the SKU/product name into Excel, paste the sheet into Canva, and print it using the thermal printer.
When we do print, we print 200 SKUs at a time.
I'd love to improve our process so we can easily print 200 SKUs at once using some sort of software and thermal printer set up.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thank you!
Hey Reddit Crew,
I'm on a mission to find a printer that won't bail on me when I start printing custom 4x6" sticker labels for my products. Need something simple and sturdy for a newbie printing about 1000-1500 labels monthly.
Any of you label wizards got a go-to printer that won’t cost an arm and a leg? I'm all ears for a model that's easy on the wallet and on a beginner's patience.
Cheers for the help!
I have a 300,000 label printing job that comes in regularly.
I am looking for a new printer that does BOPP low temp labels.
Which machine would you all recommend? Any Numbers on cost I can reference to?
How much cost is to print them? Would i be better off sourcing it out?
I am in Canada.
