We love our SleepNumber and mostly sleep with the head elevated for several reasons. Our main issue is that sheets don't really stay on very well, they end up slowing sliding until they come off or you have to pull them back up every night. We tried a few different sheet straps (the kind that clip on under the mattress) but they pop off easy and it's really hard to feed them through each time. Anyone have any tips/tricks for us?

I am shopping for a used sleep number base and plan to buy a split king mattress new. We want to make sure the used base works with the new mattress but I am seeing conflicting messages on if the new mattresses use magnets, straps, bolts, etc.
Any help on what I should be focusing on? Can older bases be retrofit to work with new mattress?

Edit: not sure it matters but we are looking at P6 or I8 and flexfit 2/3

You can buy just about any adjustable base and use them with any Sleep Number mattress. As long as you have retainer bars at the foot of the bed they will work for the most part. You will find the hoses on your mattress will be exposed along the side and you may find your mattress slides off the side of your adjustable base. Of course it is risky buying used - I will never buy used under any circumstances. Buying cheap bases on Amazon - you get what you pay for. Maybe you'll get lucky and have no problems.
