Anyone purchase the Solo Stove Yukon fire pit? How is it? Is it worth purchasing?
Just got a free Solo Stove Yukon 2.0. What is it?
What is the difference between the 30” (retiring) Yukon and the new 27” Yukon? Other then size of course.
I read that the 30” was too easily damaged during shipping so the customer base was returning them.
More on reddit.comjust purchased a bonfire replacing a traditional firepit. my old firepit was about 27 inch diameter should I have gone with the Yukon or will the bonfire even though smaller match up?
My personal opinion, from my own experience: I replaced a traditional firepit with a Yukon just this year. I kinda wish I had gone with the Bonfire, though. Solo Stoves burn super hot, and I could see my Yukon going through a lot of wood in a short amount of time (thankfully my partner and I only really want to sit around it for an hour or two at a time and not all night like some people), whereas the Bonfire might not eat quite so much wood over the same amount of time. I am also concerned about the weight of the Yukon when it comes to fully cleaning it out. I plan on attempting to tip it over to get the ash out of the very bottom, but it is so heavy it may be slightly challenging until I get the hang of it. I also like to sit closer to my firepit and the Yukon has such a large fire going in it I have to sit a bit farther away than I am used to, not sure how that measures up to the Bonfire though.
More on reddit.comSo this past week I was playing in a golf tournament and won a Yukon 2.0 in the raffle :D
Only thing is I don't really know anything (at all) about these fire pits. Is there something special about them and that's why they are $500? Just seems like a lot for a fire pit but maybe I am missing something haha
Also any first time owner advice? I plan on keeping it outside year round if possible.
Thanks solo stoveians :)
