Are there any computer parsable Spanish dictionary files?
Does anyone here use a pop-up dictionary on your web browser? Can you recommend one please?
The best option if you are using Google Chrome is to just set a new search engine through your settings so that you can type, for example, "s comer" in the address bar to look up "comer" automatically.
Go to Settings, Manage Search Engines, and then at the bottom of the list type in "SpanishDict" in the first slot, "s" in the second slot, and "http://www.spanishdict.com/translate/%s" in the third slot.

What do you think is THE BEST English <-> Spanish dictionary that I can download/view on my Android?
I second wordreference, there's a free app for both android & iphone, and it's a website. One of my favorite things about it is that at the end of dictionary entries there's a list of forum topics related to the search term. It's especially useful if you want to know slang terms, what's more common in a specific region, etc.
For example: the wordreference entry for "poner."
More on reddit.comI wanna try to make an offline dictionary app and I need a file that has useful information about as many Spanish words as is practical. Irregular verb conjugations, noun gender, all that. I'm looking for something similar to JMDict for Japanese.
So far I've found this (https://github.com/mananoreboton/en-es-en-Dic), but it doesn't have all the info I need.
I would also like to make this app open source, so a permissive license would be extremely appreciated.
