There are Staples stores that are very busy (mine included), and others that aren’t. Speaking of Staples Advantage, we get one of two customers per month who think they can go to any Staples store to return something. They can’t, and it boggles their mind. Unfortunately that’s the lassiez faire of customer service at Staples, even internally. Calling IT whenever a machine in copy center goes down is so much of a hassle cause the only response you’ll get is to turn it off and on, that it’s not even worth it to submit a ticket for it. If you’ve gotten your item/money, I’d say it’s best to wash your hands of this mess and move on. I know you have a lot of sentimentality with the company, trust me that’s why I sought out a job here, but nothing beats corporate greed and labor outsourcing. Wow you guys have no idea do you? (staples employees replying I mean) Not trying to flame, but Staples Advantage is the revenue generator for the company. It's why the US gov't is all hot to trot on Staples being a monopoly. Staples Advantage has contracts with pretty much every major gov't agency, every major bank, every major pharmaceutical company, every major university, every major hospital, I mean I could go on, but trust me on this SA is huge money. Suffice to say the prices you see are just a small sample of what advantage customers pay, and unless you were actually logged into a specific customers account (which I can't imagine a staples store employee would be allowed to) you actually didn't see any kinda accurate pricing. The idea is that their account manager is going to set discounted prices on the products that company most often orders (usually paper). SA also supports a variety of supply chain and ordering/payment methods that .com doesn't. You may not see the point, but that's because you aren't looking in the right place. When your customer orders 10,000$ a week of office supplies the point becomes pretty clear. As for the OP - talk to your Staples AM or your boss if you have an issue with pricing. Depending on circumstance there is a lot a SA AM can do for you, edited cause I think OP may not be from Staples after rereading oops. More on reddit.com
