Earn Cash Back for Coffee plus Starbucks Bonus Stars | Bank of America
I tried to make a purchase at a Starbucks store using my linked Bank of America card in the Starbucks app, but the store was not able to accept this payment type. How can I earn the offer benefits?
Not all Starbucks stores can accept credit and debit card payments via the Starbucks app and are not eligible for the Cash Back Offer. These stores include some locations inside grocers, retailers, airports, or hotels. Customers can maximize benefits at Starbucks locations by loading their Starbucks Card with an eligible linked Bank of America card, and then paying with their Starbucks Card via the Starbucks app.

Will my Stars earned with Starbucks Rewards expire?
Yes. Stars are added to your account within approximately 24 hours after you complete a Qualifying Purchase and expire six (6) months after the calendar month in which such Stars were earned. For example, if you earn Stars on December 15, 2024, they will expire on July 1, 2025.

r/starbucks on Reddit: Is there a way to recover a Starbucks Rewards account linked to an inactive email address?
February 24, 2016 -
So I accidentally logged out of my Starbucks app and realized that I have no idea what my username and password is when I tried to log back in. Shortly after that, I remembered that when I signed up I used my undergraduate degree email address to do so, which is now disabled because I graduated 2 years ago in 2014. My school will not give me my email back unless I register for another degree (literally laughed out loud when they told me this, like here take another 60 grand from me for an email, smh).
ANYWAYS, am I screwed? I obviously know it's not the end of the world, it's just going to be super annoying trying to get up to gold status again with all of these new rules being put in place in April.

Yes! As a partner, I once registered my gold card using a misspelled email. I spent several days trying to get it sorted out and wondering what was going on. It wasn't until I called customer service that they were able to change the email for me. I'm assuming they will be more than happy to do the same for you. I hope this helps: 800-782-7282 Edit: Change gold card to partner card. Also, I had registered my gold card for the Starbucks app and wanted to also link up my partner card. Only I had used the misspelled email on the partner card. Called customer service and they were able to change the email from there without me having to know login details.

I could be wrong, but from what I understand, all existing rewards members are getting automatic Gold by rollover, so you should be fine registering a new card and account for the time being and you'll be Gold status by the time April rolls around.
