Anyone experiencing this before? I was on the phone with tmobile for 5 hours but they are not able to fixed it. I am not able to receive any messages for 3 days.

I ran into the same issue with all numbers under my account. The reason was plan upgrade and the fix was to add Family Allowance back as an add on. Event though Family Allowance was not really configured or used for any line.

Found the answer Open up T-Life app Click manage (profile icon) Click settings (gear icon) Permission and controls Block calls and messages Turn off “Block chargeable text and picture messages”. (This is turned-on by default)

I noticed Saturday that almost no one was receiving my text messages. I called and opened a ticket but nothing happened. A couple days later I called back spoke with 2 techs, and went to a store like they suggested, where I purchased a new sim card that still didn't work in any phone I used it with. Finally, my 5th tech noticed that TMobile flagged me for spam. Only thing I can think of is I sent a text with a new website I built to my friends. I've had Sprint/TMobile for 17 years so they should know I'm not a spam account. They opened a new ticket to resolve this but nothing seems to change. Has anyone ever had this happen?
I'm thinking of switching carriers for the first time in a long time. Will my number be able to transfer and work properly elsewhere?

This recently happened to a friend. U.S. carriers use a 3rd party that flags numbers for spam, whether it was you sending something that flagged it or someone spoofed your number. Switching carriers will not unblock your texting. It will take 10 or 15 days for the 3rd party to unblock it. You may be able to have T-Mobile contact the 3rd party to have the block removed sooner. This is very frustrating.

This happened to a friend on TMO. He got flagged for a more than usual amount of texts compared to his normal usage on group texts with other parents that his kid goes to school/sports with. Regular CS said they could do nothing and he had to wait 10 days. I told him email Mike Sievert. A day or two later someone got in touch with him and got the problem fixed.

Hello, I have Motorola G9 and for some reason I get the error message "Free Msg: Unable to send message - Message Blocking is active." Whenever I send a SMS text to anyone, I cannot receive any texts. However, I can send MMS text messages but cannot receive them... So I am wondering what is going on? How do I fix this?
Carrier: Qlink (uses T-Mobile towers)
Phone: Motorola G9
Before you comment, I want you to know I have done and tried the following:
1 reset my network/wifi and bluetooth (multiple times)
2 restarted my phone (many times)
3 updated google messages (the phone's default messaging app)
4 checked for system or software updates (there are none)
5 turned on airplane mode for 60 seconds and off
6 turned data and wifi on and off
7 contacted customer support (they are far from subpar and had no idea what to do)
8 taken the simcard out and put it back in
9 reset app preferences
10 turned do not disturb on and off
How do I fix this, when tech support at Qlink has no idea what to do. They are confused that I can send MMS but cannot receive MMS. Also they don't know why I cannot send or receive SMS. LOLLLLLLLLLL it is so frustrating!

I had this issue with t mobile and just fixed it. I had to: go into the t mobile app, click on whatever phone on your plan is having the issue, scroll all the way down and click “all account settings”, then scroll all the way down again and click “block calls and messages”. Click “Block messages”. From there I found that I had “block chargeable and picture messages” on. After turning that off I was able to send texts again. Hoping this will help some of you! If you don’t have T-Mobile, try finding similar “message blocking” settings under your individual phone settings through your carrier app.

A returned message "Free Msg: ..." almost certainly is from your carrier -- the phone number shown might prove that, or might not -- because they are blocking the SMS. Which is something their customer service should be able to rectify though as an MVNO there's a slight chance they can't see it due to some issue with T-mobile. MMS goes through because it doesn't use SMS at your end, just at the receivers to trigger fetching the message from the server.
