I had the $18 insurance on 5 phones. Took 2 in to replace screens and still paid $150 for each screen replacement. Just consider it’s the insurance plus replacement fees. I found an alternative screen replacement which only cost $50 each phone. The insurance was a waste of money. More on reddit.com

I have a credit card through Wells Fargo that gives me a similar insurance plan for free as long as I use my card to pay my phone bill. You can check with your bank or credit union and see if you have, or can get, something something similar. More on reddit.com

Was in the store the other day asking about my bill and what could be done to lower the total and the rep said, “well you can cut out $18 for each line right off the bat”. Made me think since it was said so fast and confidently that maybe it’s for suckers? Is there any other protection in place? We have 4 lines and all iPhone 13s (paid off) and a 14 pro max half paid off.

Hey all, I will be switching to T-mobile in the near future and am looking for honest positive or negative opinions as to whether Protection 360 is worth it. Hopefully I will be getting the $0/a month S23, and having an $18 monthly charge kind of defeats the purpose of having a free phone. I am always super careful with my phones and I've never had one break---however usually I get a phone around $300 or less so I've never been too worried about it either.
Bonus question: If I don't get P360 and something DOES happen, do I owe the whole balance or just what hasn't been "paid" off? And could I potentially just put the sim card in another unlocked phone until the 2 years is up and nobody would ever be the wiser?

Depends. Can you afford another $1000 out of pocket to upgrade if you don’t have the p360 protection plan? If so, then probably not. If not, then yes, get it, it’s a no brainer. Just like I can’t afford to just up and buy another house if my house gets destroyed, I also can’t afford to get another car or pay for the other person’s damages and potential hospital bill if I cause the wreck, that’s why I have home and car insurance. But also because I have to have car insurance lol.
