I actually work at a T-Mobile but I'm in a pretty small town and we have a customer who is fixed income and disabled who only pays in cash for their 10 dollar plan. The only way we can think for her to pay in cash is getting reload cards from Walmart but that would be a 20 minute drive for her. She refuses to use a card online, do you guys know anyway for a work around to pay in cash but not the 5 dollars? I assume the answer is no, but figured I'd ask.

She refuses to use a card online Assuming you mean a bank card: Respectfully, if there is no barrier for her to do so and she chooses not to, that's on her. If her situation doesn't afford her the luxury of spending an extra $5 to pay in cash because she doesn't want to pay via a free method, but she is able to, that's just a bad financial move on her part (especially given the needless gas cost to go to a store). With that said, if this truly does need to be overcomplicated, there are still some options. 1.) Pay by T-Mobile Prepaid refill card from Walmart.com at https://www.walmart.com/ip/T-Mobile-Prepaid-10-e-PIN-Top-Up-Email-Delivery/650671687 . 2.) "Pay for free using the IVR by dialing *ADD from your T-Mobile device or call 1-877-720-5195." 3.) Take her cash and make an electronic payment for her. I have absolutely zero idea if you are allowed to do this and I would presume not, but I figured I'd mention it just in case. If possible, you could simply take her cash and make an electronic payment for her in the same amount using Guest Pay at https://prepaid.t-mobile.com/one-time-payment , and then confirm that the payment posted to her account. 4.) Get a payment account specifically for this purpose. This could be opening a new chequing account at whatever bank is closest to the her, depositing her cash into the account monthly, and then using that debit card only for T-Mobile. Or she could go the prepaid route and get a card like Spendwell which has no monthly maintenance fee and can be reloaded for free in Dollar General stores, or she can get something like the Bluebird® American Express® Prepaid Debit or Bluebird® Bank Account, both of which have no monthly maintenance fees and no reload fee in Family Dollar stores. If you can't encourage her to be open minded to online payment and she's not willing to use the IVR, paying the $5 fee for in-store payment assistance is about the only option left, but it honestly bewilders me why someone in such a tight financial position would be so insistent upon accomplishing a simply task through the most expensive means possible (gas and fees).

I went to their store to buy a Metro By T-Mobile plan, but they didn't even knew it existed, so i was gaslighted to get whatever they sold me as "the only prepaid option from t-mo" as they put it.
I got two free SIM cards (charged $10 and then rebated $10, probably paid taxes on it) and then $70 in "prepaid credit" to enable something that was between 2-5GB on each line.
But now i have to renew the two lines and the refill website have absolutely nothing but a input box for the amount i want to be charged.
There's no explanation on what i will get. What I had. nada. zilch. nothing.
So, anyone have any clue how to refill and keep whatever data plan is currently on the numbers? I'm also woring i had a two line deal and not sure how to refil in a way to keep it, since the refill site list only a single number at a time.

What on earth plan did they give you that's $70 for 2-5GB per line? Their Connect prepaid plan that's $15 has 3GB and their $25 Connect plan is 6GB. I hate seeing people go to stores and get screwed. You can get 2 unlimited lines for just $80 on the website. https://prepaid.t-mobile.com/prepaid-plans I can't help you with the refill stuff. T-Mobile's prepaid website definitely isn't the best around but it's always worked fine for me in Chrome.

i wrote that while i was on the phone trying to navigate the annoying automated system. Turn out I just have to get to any point on the refill steps and then keep saying "operator" and i got a human rep pretty fast. annoying and arcane, but nice once you solve the little riddle. So, the Answer the rep gave: just refill the original paid amount on a single line and it will apply to both. in my case, had to put in $70+tax on one number and both got data enabled again. Might move away from t-mo just for the sheer lack of information on the refill screen and the fact that they forced me to tweak my browser settings as the refill screen blocked me with some nonsense error "Firefox Private Mode is not supported."
