The Nectar mattress has a cover made from polyethylene material, which helps promote airflow throughout the mattress. The TEMPUR-Cloud’s comfort layer consists of, you guessed it, TEMPUR material. This dense material creates that quintessential slow-moving feeling. You’ll gently sink into the top of the mattress as the foam hugs your body. To prevent sleepers from sinking straight through the mattress, TEMPUR-Pedic added a transition layer of firm TEMPUR material beneath the top portion.

The TEMPUR-Cloud mattress is the entry-level model for Tempur-Pedic, and the only one you can buy as a bed-in-a-box. It uses a thin, softer layer of foam on top and then firmer foams underneath (or coils in the hybrid version). Because of this, it’s overall a medium-firm mattress. The Nectar mattress also has a medium-firm feel, but it’s a little softer than the TEMPUR-Cloud and allows you to sink deeper into the foam.
