Franchise Tax (Texas) question.
Yes you will need to file a franchise tax report every year to keep your LLC in good standing. As long as your gross revenue is less than $1,180,000 you don't have to pay. You should have received a letter in the mail from the comptroller with a web file # on it which you will need to file online. If you don't have the letter you can call the comptroller to request another one. This year franchise taxes are due June 15th because of the snowpocalypse disaster declaration, but they're usually due May 15th. More on reddit.com

LLC Sole Proprietor in Texas, dissolved for not paying Franchise Tax - But should it have been?
Had you filed your Texas Franchise tax return on time you would not have had to pay anything (I am assuming you made less than $1M). Since you are late it will cost $50. However, its pretty unclear why you thought forming an LLC was even worth your time. Regardless, once you do form one you have to conform to the laws regarding operating one. https://comptroller.texas.gov/taxes/publications/98-806.php More on reddit.com
