The Verge offers full-text RSS feeds to its subscribers, providing access to complete articles without ads and enabling users to read content in their preferred feed reader. Subscribers can access these feeds as part of their subscription, which costs $7 per month or $50 per year. The full-text RSS feature allows users to save articles to read-it-later apps and enjoy a chronological feed without navigating between websites.

The Verge provides multiple RSS feeds for different sections of its site, including general news, technology, culture, entertainment, science, health, environment, transportation, features, exclusive content, and creators. These feeds can be imported into various RSS readers such as Feedly, Inoreader, Feeder, NewsBlur, and Feedbin.

In addition to full-text RSS, The Verge has introduced personalization features like a "Following" feed that aggregates content from authors and topics users follow, enhancing the user experience with a customizable, feed-based interface. The site continues to evolve with plans for features such as a dark mode toggle, personalized homepage feeds, and integration with decentralized social platforms.

I used TTRSS for years and made the switch over to Miniflux this year and it has been great. The PWA is all you need and it comes with the option to download the entire article right where you’re reading it, which I could never figure out how to do with TTRSS. More on reddit.com

April 11, 2025 - These same strange characters appear in other RSS readers as well. We've contacted them about the issue but it remains broken. If you wish to add your voice to ours, please contact them and ask them nicely to fix their encoding problems. In the meantime we've made our own custom connector to correct The Verge's encoding errors within Tapestry.

r/rss on Reddit: Best alternatives to The Verge and 9to5mac?
October 20, 2024 -

A major reason I use RSS is to stay updated and read about tech, particularly Apple-related content, since that’s what I mainly use but also like to read about tech in general.

I’m not really interested in the broader coverage you get from sites like The Verge, where they many times write about stuff I’m not interested in at all. Their feed can get overwhelming, even after trying to follow specific categories and filtering content using Feedbin. I’ve had a similar experience with 9to5Mac, where many headlines feel like clickbait.

I’m looking for alternative sources that cover similar Apple & tech-focused topics but with less frequent updates.

Any recommendations would be appreciated!
