Is "thyroid belly" inevitable or can it be helped?
Struggling with tummy fat
I can't lose weight unless I fast. Intermittent fasting and a lot of exercise is what works in my case, but it's not really sustainable long term because of extremely achy joints and a bad back.
Diet alone helps me maintain my current weight, which I'm unhappy with. It takes a lot to shed those extra pounds (mainly in the tummy and hip area in my case).
I've actually tracked how easy I put on weight and how long it takes to lose it. I can gain 4 pounds in as little as a week if I eat over 1200 kcal a day and lose them in two months with 16-8 intermittent fasting and 4 hours of exercise a day. A total nightmare with hypothyroidism and all its symptoms.

Is it bloatedness/water weight? just curious. I have the same issue sometimes! When my levels aren't optimal.
