Hi,
I am getting ready for a job interview. The job description mentions both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Regarding quantitative data, which is mostly collected through surveys, do you use specific tools? I have always used Typeform (from crafting to results) and Excel when the data sets were a bit complex and required further analysis. Do you think I'd sound dumb if I mentioned these two? Do you use different tools or have any recommendations?
Thank you!
Hello! I am an undergrad trying to do some basic statistics for my research project. So far I've just been writing python scripts and running them in Spyder and Jupyter notebook but I am very bad at coding (ChatGPT is helping me a lot with generating those) and was wondering if there is another platform with an easier to use interface. i think in research a lot of people use Stata? if there are other AI powered platforms I am also not opposed to that. My only help is my PI, but he is very busy and I don't want to bother him with this sort of small question so thanks everyone!
I'd like to get an idea of what the popular tools are for data analysis. If you use or like a tool not on the list please provide a comment and why.
For some context, I work at a small engineering firm. We have a mix of technical engineers that would be open to more modern tools like Jupyter, but also have a number of engineers that will take Excel to the grave unless convinced otherwise (mostly because they know it). I'm trying to find a tool that can provide an modern alternative to Excel for number crunching / visualizations and is more inviting than local notebooks but not limiting to the more technical staff.
I put Databricks on here because I know its a popular platform, but wonder if it is a little overkill for the volume of data (gigabytes) we are analyzing at the moment. Also, I feel Databricks/Spark adds more complexity (if my assumption is wrong, please correct)
Also, project collaboration and integration with central resources would be a big plus.
