IMO Build Quality Apple/Microsoft (Surface) > Lenovo > ASUS > MSI/Dell/HP > Acer A lot really depends on the model. A low-tier Lenovo machine may come off as worse than a mid-tier HP or Dell. Pretty much all of them can be hit or miss. There isnt really one brand much above the other. You get what you pay for, and sometimes you get stuff on sale for a better price. Some laptops might be great, while the next gen of the same laptop might have issues. I for one think that Lenovo overall is the most OK. Havent had bad experiences with them; and I generally like their laptops. MSI has some nice stuff on the higher end too. Framework I REALLY DO NOT like for now. Just too overpriced. I like the idea but the pricing is really not there. If I were to rank strictly on brands the order would be: Lenovo , Asus, HP, MSI, Acer, Dell. I'd say they're all pretty close, but I personally have a preference for Lenovo. Framework I'd only consider if you have the money to burn and want to sponsor their idea/philosophy. Edit: forgot to mention, this comes from someone in an EU country. Where you're located matters too. Heard MSI and Asus customer support is bad in NA. Edit 2: Forgot about the apple part. No, I dont think you can install Windows. IIRC it just will not work at all, or would work pretty badly because of the cpu. Anyway, their laptops right now are pretty nice. Maybe a slight bit overpriced. Wouldnt place them ahead of lenovo because of repairability. But strictly based on the product itself they'd be 2nd in my list. Based on customer support, parts to be found, etc, probably close to last. More on reddit.com

No one has the data to answer this question. Everybody is only going to talk about their personal experience. So if we must: Lemons happen everywhere, all the time, so the best thing is to take a look at customer service. I've had excellent CS with Dell and Asus, and terrible CS with Lenovo.
