The tumble rug does not adhere to the ruggable pad unfortunately. I have both and tried to use the ruggable pad with the tumble rug because to save my life, I cannot get the tumble rug to stick to its own pad. The pad will stick to the floor using the sticky triangle things they provide, but the rug slips all over top of the padding as the pockets don’t fit the edges of the pad correctly. I love the tumble rug I have, but the pad is driving me nuts! I use it in the room for my foster kittens so dust and litter gets on the pad. So sometimes I want to vacuum the pad while the rug is in the washing machine, but the stupid puzzle piece pads get sucked up into the vacuum every time! I can’t take it anymore.
I’m actually contemplating switching to a Ruggable rug in there completely even though they’re so much more expensive and I don’t know if they’re water/pet proof like tumble rugs are, but if I can just get the Ruggable pad and it will work, it will solve all my problems.

I was coming here for answers hoping to use a ruggables on a tumble mat because fur and dirt gets into the Velcro of the ruggable pad and it's SO annoying to clean. Also trying to line up an 8*10 rug on a giant Velcro pad is not easy at all.

I have a dog that sheds and am looking for a washable rug option and would like to hear everyone’s thoughts on which option above is best. I’m planning on getting either 8x10 or 9x12 with a cushioned pad. I know that Amazon is the least expensive but if Ruggable/Tumble are worth it, I would make the investment. Any suggestions are appreciated!

For people still on the fence, I HATE MY RUGGABLES. Love the pattern/colors and that’s the only reason I still have it. This is what it does every time I vacuum (yes I adjust the suction setting and this is on the lowest). Also not shown is the curling up on one of the edges. Trying to get this turd to lay flat and wrinkle free takes an act of god.

I have 2 Ruggable rugs. IMO they are way overpriced for what they are, I would not repurchase them again. They have held up ok and are still decent looking, but again overpriced for what they are. I didn’t have the choice at the time as they were the only thing of the sort on the market. I would suggest reading more about the other companies, especially Amazon.

I bought a large (9x12) washable rug from Tumble. I went with Tumble because I love the pattern and I love the actual rug. However, I HATE the rug pad. It’s terrible. Also I’m fairly sure that this rug has shrunk even though I washed in cold and hung it to dry, and now the edge of the pad sticks out.
Has anyone ever purchased a different rug pad for a Tumble rug? I don’t want it to shift but honestly I feel like it moves around with this stupid rubber puzzle pad It came with.

I feel like they shrink slightly when they come out of the wash just like jeans. But usually I spray with a wrinkle releaser and try to get the fibers to relax and it stretches out pretty well.

Hey! I have a Tumble rug too and totally get the frustration. I did some digging and even reached out to them—setting up the rug pad can be tricky at first, but they said it’s designed to provide stability once it’s properly in place. Also, they intentionally make the rug cover a bit bigger than the pad to account for any slight shrinkage over time. It helped once I knew that!
