For actual remote job data entry, I’ve had the best⁤ luck going through big staffing agencies such as Kelly, Robert Half, Randstad, and filtering for remote + temporary/part-time, they at least vet the clients and you’re on payroll, not wiring money to some rando on Telegram. Online jobs for someone who's good at nothing but typing fast
I'm just going to warn you: while fast typing helps, transcription is a lot more than just typing. It's deciphering what multiple voices are saying, proper punctuation, distinguishing voices, researching terminology. Typing is the easy part. It's figuring out what to type that's difficult. What to watch out for in terms of pay: you can expect to spend at least 4 hours transcribing an hour of audio. That is the industry standard for professional transcriptionists. It is also for clearly dictated audio. That is the issue since much of what transcription companies get in terms of audio is not clear and is not dictated. The audio quality is poor--voices are muffled, distorted, garbled. There is hissing, static, echoes, background noise or foreground noise like rustling against the mike. Speakers are nowhere near the mike, or have heavy accents. That means in reality that 4:1 turns into 6:1 or longer. Plus add another hour to proofread the final product and you're looking at at least 7 hours to do an hour of audio in many cases. Just use that as a guide when deciding who to work for. If you're looking to make at least minimum wage, expect no less than 85 cents per audio minute. Many companies like Rev.com, TranscribeMe and Scribie pay about half that. Those companies should be avoided by anyone who values their time at all. More on reddit.com

Best Remote Data Entry Jobs from Home (No Experience ...
May 6, 2025 -

Hi guys

I’m searching for legit remote data entry jobs that are part-time and require no experience. I've come across many listings, but it's hard to tell what's trustworthy.

I'm looking for something flexible that I can do from home without getting scammed or underpaid. If you’ve done this kind of work recently or know of any reliable platforms or companies hiring beginners, please share your experience. Also open to similar entry-level remote roles. Just want to get started with something real and steady. Thanks in advance!

Edit: Just wanted to share my experience, I tried a lot of things, and here’s what actually worked for me.

I used EliteSurveySites to find high paying survey panels, read their tips, and signed up for a few panels they recommended. At first, I barely made anything, just a few cents here and there. But after a couple of months, things picked up. Now I’m making over $1500 a month with a mix of BrandedSurveys, SurveyJunkie, and others.

I also started doing simple writing gigs like captions for Instagram and LinkedIn, and i make around $200-$300 per month from this.

I started posting affiliate content in pet forums, which brings in around $100–$150 from last month, but it seems the number of clicks are growing day by day. So, I’m expecting more from this.

Hope this helps. I'll update this post if I come across anything else worth sharing.

r/WorkOnline on Reddit: Online jobs for someone who's good at nothing but typing fast
April 7, 2017 -

I get 120+ wpm on 10fastfingers and usually 100-110 for full paragraphs. I have a good handle on English grammar and spelling, and a decent grasp on Korean, but aside from that not much else. I've applied to CopyTalk which is a local FL transcription service but they pay min wage I believe, and I'd have to work at an office. Is there a better alternative? I'd really like something that compensates based on amount of work done, and isn't long-term/full time - just need a summer job. If someone can tell me where I can transcribe porn for deaf people or translate hentai/manga I'd be so, so down.

Well, if you're looking to make big bucks, I can't help you, because I'm looking for something above min wage myself. But if you want to make a few bucks in your free time, there are a few transcription sites that don't require experience and let you work whenever, wherever. All you need to do to get started is pass a test, and if your English is good and you can type fast, it can be worth your while. I can recommend GoTranscript | NonRef but if you search around this sub you can find more of them. I believe they also offer translation services, but I didn't look for ways to apply for that yet.
