Do some searches online of 'factory unlocked vs carrier unlocked'. A factory unlocked s23 means it can be activated on most any carrier networks and doesn't come with bloatware. Carrier unlocked (sounds like what you have) come straight from the carrier (Verizon) which adds their own bloateare (apps that you most likely don't want but they feel they can make money off you by you having/using it) which can be used without issue on other networks (i.e. t mobile or att). Then you have carrier locked which can only be used on that network (your t mobile sim wouldn't work). In my opinion, I always try to go factory unlocked. It's just simpler, cleaner, better. However I've used non Verizon phones with my Verizon sim with no issue. I don't think it's a big deal, nor will you see many limitations (if any), but maybe others can chime in or you can read more into it. If you don't have any issues with it now and are happy you're perfectly fine with keeping it. More on reddit.com

Was checking out the Samsun Store and saw they offer Certified Pre-Owned. They come with a year warranty and says they have been completely reassembled and tested. Samsung doesn't specify if they come with new batteries or if they maintain their IP ratings. Usually refurbished phones lose their IP ratings after being reassembled.
Checked the warranty, no mention of exclusions for water damage related to refurbished phones with IP ratings and batteries are covered if they drop below 80% health in the first year. This sounds like new batteries are put in and the IP rating is restored after re-assembly.
Anyone have any experience with Samsung's Certified Pre-Owned? Are they worth the premium versus other refurbished phones? If the IP ratings are maintained and comes with new OEM batteries, seems like it would be worth it.

I'm still using an S7 I got from them for 200bucks. It worked great for many years, but it's way past time for an upgrade. Still works, but so slow I would buy another pre-owned if I could find a model I want at a good price
