Bought this adapter so I can plug my Apple iPhone 15 charging cable into the USB female plug on my tabletop charger. Would I be correct in thinking that this adapter is just a pass through and that as long as the cable itself is Apple or MFI certified this adapter is safe to use with the phone?

Hello,
I've posted on the iPhone subreddit, but nothing that I can practically use was suggested.
I've searched this subreddit for this question, but nothing that is available in the UK came up.
I am looking for a converter plug similar to what you see in the picture right below. I have a bunch of Apple original charging cables that are USB C male on one end. My charging station has USB A female ports.
I have been advised by Apple Customer Support to use only the Apple original cables after a charging issue that I faced today with my cheap no-brand cable.
Do you have any recommendations for me that are known to be compatible with Apple devices and won't cause issues with my iPhone and its battery? If the converter allows data to be transferred, that is an additional plus, but not a deal breaker. I do not care for fast charging. Just need the converter to be stable and not cause any issues with my devices.
For your reference, the devices are - iPhone 11, 12, 15 Pro Max.
I've also attached a picture of my charging station.
In order of importance/preference
ability to use existing Apple original wires and Anker charging station
stable normal 5v charging is fine
if converter allows data transfer, that is a plus
I just got a usb stick from Amazon where you can plug usb-c into it and plug your apple device with lightning cable. Then you can plug the adapter into the apple charger plug. I plugged them all in but when I plug them into my iPhone it doesn't charge at all but it charges my AirPods just fine. The charger I'm using is from the AirPods box. Any reasons why this isn't working?
