I have bought a Google Pixel 8. It has a USB-C female port for charging and a USB-C to USB-C cable (USB 2.0) comes with the package.
I rely on Google Maps daily when I commute and my motorcycle and car have a USB-A female port.
Should I get myself a USB-A (male) - USB-C female converter/adapter? Or should I get a USB-A to USB-C cable?
Any gadget recommendations that are available in India are welcome.

I have a quite old iMac and I'm using a Sandisk ext SSD as a main disk for the macos: computer is now much faster (transfer rate more than 400 MBps).
It happens that the cable bundled with the SSD disk is outrageously short and I swap it with a longer one: the speed fell down to 35 MBps. I tried various cables, but each of them is terribly slow. I had to go back to the original Sandisk cable. My question is what's going on with cables? What brand should I use to have full speed?
