USC CSS Question
This probably refers to the fact that the CSS Profile has an extra few set of lines that USC specifically asks for beyond what is already in it. There are also some forms that USC will probably make you fill out if you get in, because I have to do those every year. If I'm understanding this correctly at least. If you submitted the FAFSA + CSS before whatever the deadline is this year, you'll be fine More on reddit.com

February 1, 2021 -

Hey Guys!

I keep getting emails from USC regarding the CSS profile, and I'm not sure if it's required. None of my friends who applied to USC filed the CSS, but I can't find any sources saying it optional. Any of you guys know if I need to because the deadline is approaching fast 😂. Thanks!

r/ApplyingToCollege on Reddit: USC CSS Question
September 28, 2024 -

I submitted my CSS to the schools I applied to and received this notice at the bottom

"The colleges and programs listed below may require additional information to complete your financial aid application but do not utilize IDOC. Submitting documents to the College Board through IDOC will not meet requirements for the schools listed below."

What does this mean?

It said this for USC, hence the title.

Hi, I applied to the University of Southern California EA and there was a requirement that the CSS profile be sent by Dec. 13 to be considered for financial aid.

I finished and submitted mine on the 9th so I thought it was over, but when i checked the USC portal a few days ago it says that it's missing.

Is it normal for it to take this long to send? I have the confirmation emails from collegeboard saying I sent it to them, and I made sure it's the right college too.

USC FAST Facts: Your Guide to Financial Aid at USC
November 21, 2025 - We don’t review waiver forms until after students receive admission decisions, so your FAST portal will still show the Noncustodial Parent CSS Profile as “Required” until the waiver is approved. Remember: waiver approvals are not guaranteed. We also know that for undocumented students, applying for financial aid can be extra confusing. At USC, financial aid is available to undocumented students with DACA or those who meet the California Dream Act requirements.
