Did The U.S. Use Kamikaze Drones To Strike Venezuela?
2 weeks ago - Bystanders on the ground in Venezuela captured various videos of the U.S. assault on Saturday, which was officially dubbed Operation Absolute Resolve. In multiple clips, as seen in the social media post below, distinctly terrorizing high-pitched buzzing can be clearly heard, which are then followed immediately by explosions and/or other visual or auditory signs of munitions impacting the ground, all consistent with the use of one-way attack drones.

Venezuela mobilizes its militia after US says it’s deploying military forces to waters around Latin America
For those unaware, there's a fairly substantial US force assembling off the coast of Venezuela - at least 3 Arleigh Burke destroyers and at least 1 attack submarine, supported by 2 more Arleigh Burke destroyers deployed to the Gulf. There's also the 22nd MEU on the way, though it got delayed by Hurricane Erin - that will bring a light carrier and ~2,200 US Marines. More on reddit.com

Confused about drone warfare
Planes are not hardened targets. Difficult thing about damaging planes is hitting them, which is noticeably easier when they are stationary on the ground. And drones can deliver explosives to an exact place. So you don’t need nearly as much. Depends on the drone type couple kg is possible for this kind of drone. More on reddit.com

As warships approach Caribbean waters, Maduro mobilizes 4.5 million militias
Imagine any other nation putting a 50 million dollar hit on another nations leader, and the entire Western world just accepts it. No complaints, no sanctions, no condemnation, just pure acceptance. The US is actually ridiculous. All they export is violence. More on reddit.com

The Trump Administration and Venezuela: Michael Shifter analyzes maritime strikes and possible regime change | School of Foreign Service | Georgetown
2 weeks ago - Some experts talk about a surgical strike against Maduro along the lines of the drone strike Trump ordered against General Soleimani in his first term. Even if any of these options were to materialize, the question remains: what happens next? If Maduro is removed but a military officer or someone else within the regime takes over, will that be acceptable? If not, how would the U.S. help engineer a democratic change? Since committing U.S. troops on Venezuelan soil appears to be out of the question, given the enormous risks involved, how realistic is it to believe that a transition can be achieved in the short term in a country dominated by Chavista rule for over a quarter century?
