I couldn't find the source code for the exact warning message text you gave, but I did find some similar ones:
- For 1.82.3
- For 1.83.1
I don't see any obvious way to prevent this from popping up given the linked source code, which doesn't have any local conditionals upon any related settings.
I mean... I suppose you could try modifying your VS Code installation's workbench.js file, but that itself is a hassle because it's minified JS, and it'd just create another problem, because VS Code will issue a corruption warning upon startup when it detects that its installation files have been modified (though you can mark that warning to not be shown again).

If you do not care in the least about the latest, greatest, blah blah blah version, like me, it seems that VSCode version 1.81.1 is the last 32bit version that doesn't have the 64bit nag. I've been using it all morning and haven't seen it once, even on a 64bit Windows 10 machine. I only use a few extensions and everything is working fine. (sync, github remote edit, etc.; you may have to check your extension list) I always put a "data" folder inside the VSCode program directory to make it portable so all my settings/ extensions/ shortcuts are stored there.
Just make sure to DISABLE updates in settings:
uncheck "Update: Enable Windows Background Updates"
uncheck "Update: Mode (Applies to all profiles)"
uncheck "Update: Show Release Notes" (not updating so...)
For Windows 10 32bit, here is the link and file name for ya:
https://update.code.visualstudio.com/1.81.1/win32-archive/stable
"VSCode-win32-ia32-1.81.1.zip"
If on Windows 7 32bit use this link:
https://update.code.visualstudio.com/1.76.2/win32-archive/stable
"VSCode-win32-ia32-1.76.2.zip"
HEADS UP: On Windows 7 32bit, a message pops up about Windows 7 not receiving updates anymore in the lower right hand corner of the window, but choosing "Never Show Again" means you only see it once. Versions after this have the banner at the top that has to be dismissed every time VSCode is run. Again, disable updates like shown above. A previous cloud sync kept me from syncing settings to GitHub but Microsoft sync worked. After turning off sync settings and choosing to delete synced data, a new sync with GitHub worked as well. Also, the the "GitHub Remote Repositories" and "Remote Repositories" extensions did not work at first. I was getting errors when trying to open remote repositories. I kept trying "Install Another Version..." from the gear next to each extension to install different versions. After some trial and error, versions 0.26.0 for both seem to work best and opening remote repositories and GitHub commits are working now. A bit of work, but in the end my Windows 7 32bit setup is working and nag-free too.
Hope that helps...
