Hello,
As the posts suggests I am completely lost on how to prepare for this interview. My SQL skills aren't the best but I still want to give it my all for this interview. Can you all please advise me on how to go about preparing? Any resources, any links, anything for me to get started? Feeling hopeless in this job market but still trying. Thanks a ton! :)
Coming here to share this because I have no idea of what happened.
I had my second round of interview for a data analyst position with Walmart. It was a 'understanding my background' and technical interview. The manager (an indian woman in her late 30's) was friendly, but was barely interested in my background nor why I wanted to join the company. She told me that from that point the interview would be comprised of query, case study and python. I started writing the sql query she asked me and, at some point, she asked me to use a different structure. As I thought for a couple of seconds on her request, she got impatient and told me what I should use. Got the query right and she immediately jumped to the next session of the interview. Asked me 2 questions about tools and asked me if I had any questions for her. My jaw dropped. She was ending the interview - no case study or python. I did confront her asking about the python part to what she said 'it will be in the next round'. 2 minutes later the recruiter called me and said I didn't make it. I did ask for feedback and heard nothing back.
I already work as an analyst in big tech and Walmart was one of my top options to jump to next. I really don't know what happened.
A bit more info: I'm latina, early 30's, and I can communicate fairly well in English
So I came here to ask what could have gone wrong? Whatever it was, I don't want to repeat it in my next interview
