Ebay has fairly decent - not perfect, but decent buyer protection. Walmart will argue about you returning a thing from their shelves that you didn't even walk through the store doors with post purchase, much less something from a 3rd party that they only provide fulfillment for. Unless there's a proper return GUARANTEE protecting my investment, or a GUARANTEE of fulfilment that beats Ebay+fedex/UPS turnaorund times, i feel more warm fuzzies about a fleabay purchase than i do a walmart refurb - especially coming from a non-established name refurbisher. My wife is looking for an inexpensive desktop for her side gig. She found a refurbished HP 8200 at Wally World for around $140. They proudly state that the seller is one of the only Microsoft authorized refurbishers. It has an Intel I5 core, 1TB hd, 8 gigs of ram and a fresh version of Windows 10 Pro. The Bluetooth and WiFi are apparently done with a usb adapter. Anyone with any experience going this route? I haven’t done anything with desktops since like 2003. And again this is just for a little home based side gig. Thanks in advance!
