Not too useful: My well is 375+ feet deep (FL) with a 1HP Myers pump and a "30-pound bladder tank/30lb pressure tank" (it physically is 5 gallons in size IDK) the pump is an additional 300ish feet from my house (my property fears Indiana Jone's large boulder) and we have constant pressure after the 30+300feet of pipe water is used, as the bladder tank is drawn down (it sits right over the well pump) it fires up the well and recharges before we can use up the 'pipe water' - we CAN open the two tubs and the main discharge line (inline filter discharge) and lose pressure but we have to try. 2 full bathrooms and outside small farm, 3 people, normal new, water-saving appliances. We have probably 50 water wells on our ranch. We have our own pulling unit and install all of ours ourselves. With that said: pick a pump manufacturer, we use exclusively grundfos pumps. Find the pump curve chart to find out what pump you need to get 15gpm at the surface. Pumps pump less the deeper they go, so you want to find that happy medium so it’s deep enough it doesn’t pump off but not so deep you lose gpm. I would think a 1-1.5 hp pump might be a little small for 15gpm but some of the high output pumps will surprise you so it might. -installing it yourself would be very difficult without a pulling unit or rig. I’d hire someone and they can also hook it all up. A couple tips I would recommend: Buy stainless steel or brass couplers. They are much more expensive than plastic but will last a long long time and not break. The plastic couplers are garbage. Really look into underwater splice kits. Make sure you get the splice in the electrical wires sealed up good. Did your well driller air lift the well? I’m guessing yes because you knew the gpm it produces, but make sure they blow it out to get all the drilling contamination out before you use it. Keep all your pump cables and wires off the ground so critters don’t chew on them. More on reddit.com

300 ft well from 1970, just installed our 3rd pump since purchase in 1990 in January of this year. 1st pump 30 years, next 2 pumps 10 years. We also lost the last pump due to silt in the pressure tank. Changed out the original 1970 sand filter with a self-cleaning filter. The total cost was around $6k. The only good thing was that we found out that the supply lines coming out of the filter were over 50% plugged. We now actually have good water pressure. Your well should not be a problem, unfortunately the quality of new equipment is the problem. More on reddit.com
