How long does it usually take for your blanket to arrive? I started my first term on Nov. 1st and haven't received mine yet. (Yes i'm worried about a blanket 🫵)
Finally, the owl's nest has restocked the highly coveted WGU branded blanket!! It's so soft and will keep me warm this summer during the cold exams and it will help to keep me dry when I start crying because I didn't pass 😂

Do the welcome challenges

After doing some of the welcome challenges, you'll get one where you need to verify your student ID. Do this and wait a few days for it to be verified.

After verification, do the rest of the welcome challenges (I think there was just 1, which gives enough points to finally redeem the blanket).

In the rewards page, you can choose from the blanket, a tumbler, or a mug for 500 points (which you'll have by now). Make sure your address is on file in your account settings.
Note: Once you redeem one gift, the tumbler and mug will be gone, but you can still get the blanket for about double the points it originally was (or at least this is what happened in my case). The blanket is honestly really soft and nice so I would recommend it, but if you really want a mug or tumbler, redeem that first. Then by doing daily check ins (up to 38 points a week) and other challenges, you should hopefully have enough points for the 1,055 point blanket by the end of 1 term.
How do I get the blanket ?
You can wait for the email to come at some point asking you to join. Or, You’ll need your Wgu email and student id if I remember. Go to owls nest https://www.wgu.edu/lp/programs/owls-nest.html Sign up, you’ll be presented with activities to get points. Get 500 points. Redeem for item of your choice. If item of your choice is not available, wait a bit until it is . Choice options are usually blanket, or two types of mugs.
Do I need to wait until I’m a student? I’m currently in the enrollment process

Okay, so usually I lurk on this subreddit, but I just have to comment on this blanket. It’s so comfortable and IT HAS A HOOD! WHY DID NO ONE SAY THAT IT HAS A HOOD!!!!! Yeah I’m never taking this off it’s just so stimulating.
