Update: So I saw the comments about Owls Nest and looked into it. I was able to get 2 gift cards to buy a hoodie, and I got the welcome gift blanket! Super excited to recieve them!!
Just wondering, have any of you bought stuff off the store? I kinda want one of the hoodies 😅 Is it worth? 🤔
I mean why is there not just a simple, ceramic, wgu mug (that is microwave and dishwasher safe)? Or a cute branded matching set like other colleges have? I love to blanket I just got, I would love to buy more wgu branded items, but I just don't like most of them. I will be getting the zip up hoodie but I wish it had matching sweat pants. I can't be the only one feeling this way, right?
Anyone ever bought WGU merch? What did you get? I'm thinking about ordering a sweatshirt and a couple of t-shirts.
Okay, I know we have posts not infrequently about the absolute dumpster fire that is the Owl’s Nest points system. But I was saving points to trade in for a gift card and get one of the cropped hoodies when I graduated. I’m about to finish my program and the new store still only has like… 5 hoodies in the women’s section, all new designs that are worse than the old ones. What gives? Where’s all the old stock that there’s no way they sold out?
I'm not sure if they even had stock, a lot of times these types of stores are print on demand, meaning the products aren't made until someone orders. Then the printing company prints the WGU logo or whatever onto their blank product and ships them. But no clue why they seemingly switched providers, maybe they're cheaper to use or something. But yeah it's pretty terrible now.
Good question! I want to know as well, because the store used to have a ton of options and things like mugs and coasters that are nowhere to found. The store is so slimmed down it’s almost not worth having in its current state, imo.
I hope they are just in transition and will bring back most of what they used to have, especially since my mug is losing its white text and owl logo now. Been my favorite mug for years now (bought it when I first joined and had to take a couple years off).
