Do you use two sets of twin xl sheets OR just a king split set? Trying to figure out the best course of action. My husband and I are fully opposite sleepers. He lays flat, needs a fan and can't stand to have blankets touch him. I prefer legs up head up with a down blanket. But we also don't want to be a foot apart. Help!!!

I need to get some new sheets, and I was curious about what everyone recommends besides SN for split king sheets. I bought a really cheap seat off Amazon for $30 a few months back and was surprised by the craftsmanship and comfort for the price paid, but wished the fabric was a bit thicker. It was a fun experiment proving to wife we don’t need to go to sleep number and pay an arm and a leg for a set of sheets.
I was curious if anyone had any recommendations for quality sheet sets for a split king from companies other than sleep number.
Thanks!
Wifey and I are thinking of trying out a split king on an adjustable bed frame. I have been trying to do a ton of research on this upcoming purchase for us. We know there are pros and cons to a split king but we are curious if we can make it work for the sleep benefits.
Any recommendations on the sheets setup? (I.e., having two twin xl sheets vs one king size fitted sheets, one or two mattress protectors)
Any other info is greatly appreciated. Wifey and I still want to make sure we are comfy during cuddle time and marital time. Or anything else you’d like to share about your experience having a split king and wether you as a couple liked it / disliking it.
Have a split king and I hate it. Pain in the butt to make, seems like less room because of the split in the middle, sheet sets are expensive, and it’s a “your side or mine” conversation which kind of kills the mood. You basically are trying to have marital time in your college dorm bed. (Twin XL). They are also waaaay more expensive. Wouldn’t do it again for any reason. If you do, the best sheets I have gotten for mine are from tempur. The band that helps keep the bottom sheet on makes them great and helps when it comes to making the bed. Sometimes during back to school season, I snag some cheap twin XL sheet sets to use for the bottom sheets and then either the coordinating king top sheet or just a plain color top sheet that can be purchased as a separate.
Anyone have split king sheets?
Looking for any recommendations on split king sheet sets that you all recommend? High end luxury would be ideal, but doesn't seem like the high end products have a split king fitted sheet.
Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you!
We have a king size top split that needs new sheets. When I got the bed I got 3 sets (and they are so expensive 😭) but they are cheaply made and are all nearly thread bare or like one of the fitted sheets torn down the middle (started around the start of the split) and in the trash. I need more sheets but I really don’t want to spend the roughly $250 a set, especially if they are made crappy. Anyone find any alternatives?
Like the title says, I cannot find any sheets that fit well on a split king with adjustable base. My fitted sheet on each twin XL comes loose every night and it’s causing me to lose sleep.
Does anyone have recommendations on a sheet set where the fitted sheet fits well with an adjustable base.
For reference, I have a bear elite mattress with temper-pedic adjustable base. The mattress is 14 inches thick.
Hubby and I are looking at making this our next mattress. We currently have a regular king size but it needs replacing(crappy S mattress). We constantly rotate it to even out the “ridge” and I am wondering if 2twin XL mattresses would be better?
Anyone have any experience with one?
I want to buy luxury sheets for my new sleep number. It is a split king adjustable. Do extra long fitted twin sheets work? Will regular twin sheets come off when I adjust the bed?
I have found just a few. What I’m looking for in a split kind is the twin xl fitted sheets and the large king sheet (and pillow cases, etc) because my husband and I bought a split king and the bed is adjustable.
I really like flannel for the winter, but one I found online is just plaid and not the soft brush flannel feeling. I’m not wild about the design of the print.
I like the way linen looks but I’ve never had linen sheets. Mainly I want flannel sheets (I do like plaid, just not the one I ordered as it’s very bold) and I am curious about linen.
Editing to add, the one I ordered is by Bare Home and it’s ok, but not the soft brushed flannel like I want and not wild about the pattern like I said. I’ll keep it if I can’t find anything else. (I LOVE cuddl duds flannel sheets, but no split king)
Does anyone know of any brands or websites that I would find split king sheet sets? I actually don’t see a lot even for twin xl, which I’d rather not get anyway.
We have a split king size adjustable bed. After a long period of experimentation to figure out how to keep the middle crack between the mattresses from separating, we found that a split head fitted bottom sheet would work if we used sheet straps. However, figuring out how to strap the split part to keep it from getting loose is evidently beyond me. Has anybody figured out how to do that?
Can anyone recommend good sheets for a sleep number California split king... The sheets I get from sleep number always rip so quickly. I have never had sheets that rip like these do. They are to expensive to keep needing to buy new ones so quickly.. The quality of them is seriously making me mad. Sleep number should do a much better job. But apparently they want to keep collecting as much money as they possibly can from their customers.
Thanks to anyone who can recommend another good set that doesn't break the bank, fit, decent quality, comfortable, and will not get big vertical rips in less than a year of being on the bed every other week.. .
My husband and I would like to upgrade to a king with an adjustable base. I was thinking of doing a split king so either of us can incline without bothering the other person.
Anyone have a split king? Love it/hate it? Do you do two separate twin fitted sheets and one king top sheet? (I’m a firm top sheet user, don’t come at me lol)
My husband and I have a split king sleep number I8. I use 2 twin xl fitted sheets and one king flat sheet. I buy it as a set on Amazon We are on an adjustable base however my husband has always kept his flat. I spend a lot of time reading in bed so I do move mine quite a bit and it does not bother my husband's side of the bed. He tosses and turns and I do not feel the movement on my side. If I had the chance to purchase this configuration again, I would.
I love my adjustable base and I’d definitely recommend a split king. You really don’t know how much your partner will want to use it, or if he will enjoy whatever position you’re using and vice versa. You don’t want to be subject to sitting up in the middle of the night and that sort of thing.
We have the tempurpedic split king with adjustable base and have had the hardest time finding fitted sheets that will stay put and not become loose along the sides of the mattress. We’ve tried the tempurpedic sheets but if you adjust the base, the fitted sheet will come loose. Any suggestions?
Lots of different brands out there that use a “powerband”. Goes underneath the entire mattress and should help keep it in place. Another option is ordering bed sheet fasteners from Amazon, pretty inexpensive and does the trick just takes slightly longer to make the bed initially.
Look at QuickZip sheets. My mom has these on her TP split king and she says she will never own another set of sheets. I have them on our 1 piece king and I feel the same!
*edited because I had to go back and look at the name to get it right

Can someone recommend a good place to buy sheets for a flex top king bed. I don’t want to spend a ton of money, but would be willing to spend a couple hundred dollars for a good set. I purchased a set of split King sheets from Amazon by accident. They were from Lane Linen and seem to be high-quality. Unfortunately, it does not appear. They make flex top king sheets. Any recommendations are appreciated.
Can someone explain king split mattresses to me, I thought this was straight forward but I must be missing something.
What I think it is: So the basic idea seems that you have a king mattress where you can have each half be different. Firmness being the #1 thing. I've seen some examples where it's two completely different mattresses just next to each other.
I guess first question, is there a split king mattress that just looks like one mattress but internally are two different ones? One side firm the other soft.
My next question is when purchasing I never see an option to choose each side of the mattress. I would think there would be an option to configure both sides.
I feel like I'm completely missing something, and you know as a introvert millennial I decided to ask a bunch of random people in the internet rather than to walk into a mattress firm and talk to a sales rep.
Background: Me and my partner have been using a soft mattress for a while now, they love it but it's been such a pain for me. I really want to go back to a firm spring mattress or something close. We initial tough of a sleep number since that's their whole advertising each side chooses their firmness. Then I came across the concept of a split mattress and touch that would be a simpler solution to my problem.
