Are these 3-in-one type of cables safe for devices? I use them fixed on my desk so i can easily charge airpods, phone, kindle, wireless keyboard etc. without swapping cables.
They are safe if used with 1 device at a time ... also I try to use them with only the std 5v chargers only. More on reddit.com
What type of charger is this
It's Micro-USB, it was the most widely used connector before Type-C. Serious question, not mocking or anything, how old are you? I'm genuinely curious how come you've never seen this connector before, because it was literally in every gadget at some point. More on reddit.com

Is it okay to charge different types of devices using the same charger?
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but: TLDR: Chargers that operate according to USB spec are perfectly cross compatible with no ill effects. i.e., any charger from a name brand. Chargers that have additional modes, such as Qualcomm quick charge, etc, are also designed to be cross compatible (despite potentially technically being against standard USB protocols.) Both devices need to support the additional mode for the charging to take advantage of said additional mode. If not, it will still work as below. Your charger and device will negotiate an optimal voltage via power delivery or an alternate mode. If negotiation doesn't occur or nothing is compatible, it will remain at ~5V, which all USB devices support. In all situations, current is limited by physics/design. The only potential failures occur when a charger or cable is physically broken, or if it's badly made/designed - i.e. cheap or counterfeit, or not made according to spec. (Or, if the input voltage is not appropriate for your country's mains voltage - this is unlikely with many chargers being designed to support a wide range of mains voltages out of the wall plug) A safe bet for the fastest charger for your device is the one that came with the device, along with the cable provided. But third party chargers that support the same specs as the one charger will provide the same charging speed, or worst case just charge slowly. You can identify which specs are supported by looking at the packaging/text written on the charger - it should list the negotiable output voltage modes, eg. 5V, 9V, etc. You'll need to read the manual to see what your device supports. Your device will select whichever is suitable automatically. More on reddit.com

If youโre unsure which USB Type C cable you have, it's most likely a 3A or 5A cable. Both types are capable of charging your devices as well as transferring data. However, 5A cables are thicker and able to carry more power. You're probably already familiar with Micro USB Type B cables. They've been used for a long time with multiple devices. The cable's head is not symmetrical. One side has ridges while the other is flat. Make sure to insert it into your phone's or tablet's USB port the correct way or it could damage the inside of your device.

May 30, 2024 - Micro-USB chargers are perhaps one of the counterparts of lightning chargers, whereas lightning chargers are often referred to as an iPhone charger, micro-USB chargers are referred to as an Android charger. However, it is still ideal for easy connectivity and file transfers and is compatible with many Android devices. Other phone chargers offer different types of advantages and present other capabilities that most mobile device users may not know about.
