ransomware attacks happen so often now that it's no longer newsworthy for the general public, unless it's really high profile

everything is moving to the cloud

no matter what tools/product you use, they are all much more automated

zero trust architecture is being largely implemented
As far as the future? One of my biggest concerns is how rapidly facial motion capture has become so easily available and how convincing real time deepfakes already are. Phishing, and particularly spearphishing, are likely to skyrocket even more
