I dropped my 16 Pro in an Otterbox Defender case today, and it struck the curb at the exposed section of the screen edge (for the action button). I never use the action button, so I’d actually be fine with something that covers it entirely.

Depends on the look you're going for. Natural titanium looks really good with dark gray or neutral color cases. A common one is Apple's silicone stone gray case, but apple's cases notoriously don't stand the test of time. If you want a classier unique look, Andar, Bullstrap, Ryan London, Nomad, and Keyway designs all make a good leather case. Andar and Keyway make a grayish brown colored leather that looks really nice with titanium. Spigen is tried and true, I'm currently using their Thinfit Magfit case in gunmetal. Really like the profile of the case, camera button cut out, and the metallic gunmetal color on Ti. But it attracts skin oils and leaves smudges on the back which I don't love. I have their Rugged Magfit case on the way in gray. And if you want to save money, Aliexpress has a lot of good designs and a lot of them are either the same exact cases sold on Amazon or come from the same distributor. I've heard the YWM store on there has high quality leather cases. Source: I've been down the case rabbit hole for about a month now. I go through this every time I get a new phone lol

Probably the Phone Rebel Gen-6 Ultra Camera control button Decent grip on the sides Has great impact protection. This is probably the way to go, since it’s one of the very few protective cases with a camera control button not a cutout. Also supports lanyard so you don’t drop it in the first place Watch this for the drop test of the non-Ultra Gen-6. The Ultra got reinforced corners, so it should fare even better. OtterBox defender pro max failed me, my new phone has cracked screen already. I’ve had it with my iPhone X which never cracked since 2019… of course Apple will make old models slow as hell so I finally bite the bullet. Surprisingly otterbox defender doesn’t work now.
Any strong case recommendations for drops? I don’t care about looks and don’t mind investing if I can drag it 10 years fingers crossed.
Update - Thank you to all who shared helpful tip, I appreciate it! I just opened my phone case apart and noticed the cracks are on the otterbox glass screen protector not on my actual phone which is a huge relief.
