Selfhosted Whois?

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying to query for public domains like reddit.com, or are you trying to query for machines on an internal network in your own domain layouts? The former is probably not possible to genuinely do, as you're really querying the databases of registrars and registries which they maintain. If you were looking to set something up for your own internal network, you could maintain your own database. I guess you could even do a static page for that, or maybe I just don't understand what you're asking, so feel free to elaborate. More on reddit.com
