Use online restaurant supply stores for bulk purchases - 20lbs of dried black beans for $20
Are dried beans not typically about a dollar for a 1 pound bag?
I don't really see the benefit here when you factor in shipping, plus the fact that I need to store 20 pounds of beans at a time. I suppose it could make sense if you lived in a very expensive metro area or needed an absolute ton of beans.
Cookware from a restaurant supply can be a pretty great deal though, especially stuff like sheet pans or mixing bowls where quality is fairly standard.

Kitchen Supply Shops in London/UK

Ive been in the shop of Shaftebury Avenue a few times. Guess its central London location means its probably not the cheapest around but they are a national chain.

Sheet pans. I wouldn't say only buy them at restaurant supply shops but they are no nonsense, sturdy, and a good deal to boot. I'm amazed that home kitchens usually only have one.
Edit: An oven thermometer. Stop ruining food for only $3! Even the fancy ovens will like to you about their temp.
