No, I mean, I've logged out and logged back in, and this works both on the TV and on my computer. I'm not able to access it in either place. I sign in and, you know, we start, we try to watch something, and then it just kicks you back as if you aren't subscribed. And then if you click on the subscribe button, it says you're already subscribed. Start watching. But you can't.

r/appletv on Reddit: Can't access Apple TV+/purchases anywhere but TV... What am I doing wrong?
January 23, 2025 -

Hi all! Maybe someone can help me. I have a new AppleTV+ subscription to watch Severance and to buy the Wicked Movie. I am having two head scratching issues. The movie comes with extras that apparently can only be watched on the computer or iphone/ipad (which is ridiculous to me, but I digress). So I tried to log in to watch them last night, and well, I cant. When I log in on the browser I don't have any of my purchases, and I cant log in anywhere else at all. Not on my phone, not on my laptop, not in any apps. Because of that. I also cant stream anything on my phone. So essentially I can only watch shows or movies I purchased on my home TV. I even tried the movies anywhere app, but linking the accounts don't work either. What am I doing wrong?

"Video not available" - Apple Community
I discovered my pattern accidentally, after being forced to factory reset of the TV - I decided to leave it without PIN for some time and... just learned that Apple TV app started to play movies. Juts like that, out of nothing. Hooray! One day I turned PIN on for the app and it stopped playing videos with the "Video is unavailable" error. Turned PIN off - it started to work again. IDK if it will be your case. Can imagine that there are many factors that might cause this issue. Good luck! ... This happened for me, trying to watch on my Roku (Ted Lasso).

r/appletv on Reddit: Apple TV+ Shows Don’t play on Apple TV Device
February 19, 2025 -

I have a weird problem that I just can’t figure out. On Apple TV, if I try to watch any Apple TV+ content, it endlessly buffers and is unwatchable.

  • I have gigabit fiber, and great speeds to the device per speed test app, so speed is not an issue.

  • All other content on the device plays perfectly (Netflix, Max, Peacock, etc. Library content also has no issue. Only Apple TV+ content

  • if I watch Apple TV+ content on any other device, signed in using the same Apple ID, there is no issue. (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Fire Stick, etc.)

  • the Apple TV is running the latest TVOS version, and this problem has persisted across several updates

  • basic troubleshooting such as restarting, hard restart, etc. doesn’t help. -The device is the latest Apple TV 4K

Has anybody else run into an issue like this?
