14 hours ago - When Elphaba realizes her mistake and flees, Madame Morrible spreads the rumor that she is a Wicked Witch, in order to turn the citizens of Oz against her. In contrast to the novel, she is explicitly shown to possess magical powers, being especially talented at controlling the weather.

November 25, 2025 - However, Madame Morrible doesn't believe that would be enough to get Elphaba's attention and suggests a "change in the weather" would be more effective. She used her weather-controlling magic to conjure a tornado. Sound familiar? ... The tornado in question is the tornado that ultimately swept house and landed on Nessarose.

6 days ago - During a ceremony honoring perfect religious class attendance to the local children of the capital of Center Munch, with Nessarose personally handing out the awards, there is a sudden darkness and a farmhouse inexplicably crashes into the grandstand erected for the occasion, landing right onto Nessarose, killing her instantly - much to the delight of the citizens of Center Munch who would immediately afterwards crown the farmhouse’s occupant, Dorothy Gale as a national heroine for killing their oppressor.

6 days ago - Her weather-controlling ability causes a cyclone, indirectly leading to Nessarose's death and Dorothy Gale's arrival in Oz. Glinda sentences her to life imprisonment for involuntary manslaughter.

1 month ago - He explains that he comes from a different world, the same world the book comes from, and is not bound by the laws of Oz. 6 days ago - At the funeral of Ama Clutch, Madame Morrible suggests to Nessarose, Elphaba, and Glinda that the three become "Adepts" of Quadling Country, Munchkinland and Gillikin respectively. This would grant them political dominion over these regions, but, as Morrible admits, is in fact a way of maintaining the Wizard's authority in the far-flung quadrants of Oz.

Seven years later, a great storm comes to Munchkin land, dropping a familiar house on Nessarose, killing her. Glinda, being nearby, helps the passengers Dorothy Gale, and her dog Toto, by giving Dorothy the slippers that Nessa had once worn. Elphaba comes to the funeral for Nessa to be reunited with Glinda after many long years of separation. When Glinda tells Elphaba that she gave the slippers to Dorothy, Elphaba becomes furious, as they were to be hers. As Elphaba returns to Kiam Ko, she stops at Shiz to finally kill Madame Morrible.

September 4, 2025 - After Nessarose dies in an accident involving Dorothy Gale's house, Elphaba becomes fixated on retrieving her sister's enchanted shoes, which now belong to Dorothy.

Elphaba asks Nessarose if she remembers anything about Madame Morrible's plans for them, but Nessarose thinks Madame Morrible was only making predictions, not binding their destinies.

A tornado hits Oz. Munchkinland suffers the most destruction, and Nessarose is crushed to death by a house carried by the tornado.

Branding Elphaba as wicked; making Glinda the Good Witch; pulling Dorothy's house into Oz and killing Nessarose with it · Even after Glinda grows closer to Elphaba and Morrible becomes Elphaba's enemy, Morrible is still able to get Glinda in her clutch. Morrible shapes her into a public symbol of goodness, making it impossible for Glinda to support Elphaba or denounce Morrible and the Wizard.
