What are earbuds?
Earbuds are a type of headphone that fits inside of your ear.
What are the best earbuds?
Determining the "best" earbuds depends on your personal preferences, budget, and specific needs. However, some popular and highly-rated earbuds include:
-
Apple AirPods Pro: Featuring active noise cancellation, a comfortable fit, and seamless integration with Apple devices.
-
Google Pixel Buds Pro: Active Noise Cancellation with Silent Seal blocks outside sounds so music shines, while Volume EQ automatically adjusts the tuning to sound balanced at every level.
-
Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro: Improved audio allows for an immersive surround sound experience. The updated design has secure fit and comfort for all-day wear.
-
Powerbeats Pro: Built for elite athletes, these totally wireless earphones have no wires to hold you back.
Keep in mind that the best earbuds for you may vary based on factors such as comfort, sound quality, battery life, and additional features. It's essential to consider your specific needs and preferences when choosing the right earbuds for you.
Are earbuds bad for your ears?
Earbuds can be harmful to your ears if not used properly. Here are some factors to consider to minimize potential damage:
-
Volume: Listening to music or other audio at high volumes for extended periods can cause noise-induced hearing loss. It's recommended to follow the 60/60 rule: listen at no more than 60% of the maximum volume for no more than 60 minutes at a time.
-
Fit: Poorly fitting earbuds can cause discomfort and may lead to ear infections if they are not cleaned regularly. Choose earbuds with multiple ear tip sizes to ensure a comfortable and secure fit.
-
Noise isolation: Earbuds that don't effectively block external noise may cause you to increase the volume to compensate, potentially damaging your hearing. Consider earbuds with good noise isolation or active noise cancellation to reduce the need for higher volumes.
-
Duration: Prolonged use of earbuds can cause ear fatigue and increase the risk of hearing damage. Take regular breaks to give your ears a rest.
To minimize the risk of hearing damage, use earbuds responsibly, maintain a reasonable volume, and take breaks to rest your ears. If you experience discomfort, pain, or hearing issues, consult a healthcare professional.

I am looking for good Bluetooth earbuds as my Raycon case just will not hold a charge (and it hasn't even been 6 months). I thought Raycon was supposed to be a quality brand, but I have lately heard people say that they are not any good.
I don't want an Apple product as I have an Android phone.
The problem is that all the reviews on Amazon look pretty fake to me (some of them have 99% 5* reviews and the text looks like AI-generated slop), and there are about a billion brands of earbuds out there that drastically vary in price.
I am searching for something that costs less than $65.
The features that matter most to me are comfort and being waterproof. I use them primarily for audiobooks.
Hey everyone!
I'm looking for some good, durable Bluetooth headphones for Android that have a long-lasting battery and maintain good performance over time.
I mainly use them for work, on the bus, and for walks, so comfort would also be a big plus.
Any recommendations for brands/models worth considering?
Thanks in advance!
Edit: I posted this in the Portugal subreddit, but it got deleted — apparently, according to the mod team, I can only post there if it's related to Portugal.
