I hate it, but it’s hard to find brand new, full price jeans that are great for under $100. Affordable brands like Target, H&M, and Abercrombie always seem to have fit issues and stretch out SO much throughout the day. If you don’t want to thrift, Levi’s is the way to go. You can go to a Macy’s or Dillard’s to try on in person and find your fit and size, and then just stalk those styles online for deals. Lots of stores carry Levi’s and they all have sales at some point. Levi’s also carries tall sizes, which you probably need. I have a frustrating body to fit into jeans for other reasons - and a super limited budget - and this is part of how I buy jeans. I also thrift a lot, but that requires a time investment with no guarantee on your return. Just yesterday I picked up 3 great pairs of jeans from the 80s, 90s, and 00s for less than $30 total. But it took 3 hours, 2 stores, and trying on around thirty pairs of jeans. Also, I do try on a lot of jeans outside of my budget - and then hop on Poshmark, Etsy, and eBay to find them.
