I'm not very knowledgeable on keyboards, so i was wondering if there was a mechanical keyboard(preferably 60 or 80%) that is really fast and responsive, optimized specifically for games. My budget sadly cannot afford a wooting so I was hoping there was something cheaper. I accidentally lean on some keys and my favourite feature about the wooting is how you could set the actuation point, and im not sure if any other keyboards do that? Any help is appreciated.

I’m currently deciding between the Monsgeek MG75S (Akko and Monsgeek have narrowed the software lead of Wooting considerably), Nuphy Field75 HE (Coming out in like a week or so), and the Wooting 80HE (Software leader).
The reason why these boards specifically is due to the fact these brands ACTUALLY will/do make their software IN-HOUSE. Unlike the generic chinese software used by other brands. Right now, I’m leaning towards the Field75 HE. They are promising VERY good specs such as “8K Polling” (which means nothing), (16k single key Scan Rate) (2K Full-Key Scan), Analog input, and of course rapid trigger.
I would like to hear all of your inputs for my decision! Almost done replacing all of my peripherals with the best durable components (HE controller, Optical mouse) [For the price*]
I play Valorant a lot and so many of my friends have gotten the Wooting 60HE and have raved about the counter strafing feels so much smoother and the speed of letting go your button is insane.
I don't want to wait months for it to be delivered. Is there any keyboard that matches that level? Or will there be soon?
There's really no way I could afford or even justify $175 USD for the 60HE.
But I love the idea of analog keyboard switches and think I would get a lot of use out of them.
Are any companies making worthy competitors to the 60HE but at a much lower price?
Wooting 60HE and 80HE are really great keyboards and the best thing about them is the top-notch Wootility sofware and 4 year warranty. But they are also quite expensive, so here are my budget and also similarly priced alternatives that have all the same features as Wooting keyboards – they have magnetic switches with adjustable actuation, rapid trigger, snap tap, dynamic keystrokes and mod tap. Here we go.
S-Tier Choices
DrunkDeer A75 Pro
DrunkDeer A75 ProThe DrunkDeer A75 has always been a budget-friendly option if you want Wooting-like features without the price. I’ve tried the new Pro version, which comes with an aluminum case and some quality upgrades. It’s still budget-friendly, especially with the G75 model priced at just $109. Plus, their software has improved a lot, making setup and customization much easier.
MCHOSE Jet 75
Released in March 2025, Mchose Jet 75 is another very cheap option starting at $59 for the most budget version. Latency is as good as that of Wooting 80HE and the build quality is surprisingly solid, it’s plastic though. I would recommend the version with Kailh magnetic switch as this is the one I’ve tested – they are accurate, not wobbly and pretty loud.
Keychron Q1/Q3/Q5/Q6 HE
Keychron Q5 HEIf you prefer going with a big brand then Keychron has four very similar keyboards: Q1 HE, Q3 HE, Q6 HE and couple more now. I have reviewed the Q5 HE which is 96% and the others are exactly the same but with 75%, TKL and 100% layout. The latency is very close to Wooting 60HE, I like the OSA keycaps and the webapp is pretty great to use. These are more expensive than Wooting though.
Nuphy Air60 HE or Air75 HE
Nuphy Air60 HENuphy Air60 HE. The only one of two low-profile HE keyboard available at this moment (the other one is the newer Nuphy Air75 HE). It’s very similar to the popular Nuphy Air60, but with magnetic switches — and you can choose Gateron magnetic Jades or Jades Pro. Very reasonably priced at $119.95.
A-Tier Alternatives
Varmilo Muse65 HE
This is currently my daily driver, and it feels premium thanks to the CNC metal case and Gateron magnetic switches. It offers a broad 0.10mm to 4.00mm actuation range with 0.01mm sensitivity, so I can fine-tune every key. It also has 8k polling, putting it on par with Wooting models, and at around $150, it’s a little cheaper too.
Akko MOD007v3 HE
This one caught my attention for its unique look and reliable Akko Cream Yellow Magnetic Switches. With an 8000Hz polling rate and solid build quality, it’s a good all-rounder at $180. Akko’s software is also surprisingly easy to use, with options like toggle keys and deadzone settings.
Keydous NJ98-CP HE V3
For a larger 98% layout, the Keydous NJ98-CP is a great pick. It’s versatile, allowing both magnetic and traditional mechanical switches. It even includes a knob and a display screen, which are fun extras. With features like wireless connectivity, great typing feedback, and a price of about $149, it’s a well-rounded choice if you want lots of functionality.
B-Tier Budget Picks
Monsgeek MG75S HE
This keyboard isn’t as premium but does the basics well. It’s lightweight with good rapid-trigger response, though it’s plastic and a bit noisy. For under $100, it’s a decent entry-level option if you want magnetic switches.
Epomaker HE75 Mag
Epomaker HE75 MagEpomaker HE75 Mag is another decent choice, it’s quite affordable at $99 and it has all the gaming features you’d need to have from a magnetic switch keyboard. It’s also wireless.
Hey guys, I’ve been waiting over a month for my Two HE. It’s the first thing I ordered whilst building up and ordering my first gaming PC.
The PC will be ready next week and I don’t have a keyboard for it! What’s the next best alternative to the wooting? Or should I just get something cheap to tide me over (don’t really want to as I’ve put a lot of money into the PC and want a decent gaming experience (7800x3d, 4090 set up)
Thanks for any replies.
The Wooting will eventually arrive, so it makes no sense in my eyes to spend more than like 30 bucks for a cheap mouse & kbd set to get into the bios and check if everything works. You'll get your 'decent' (come on, just say high-end, the specs are literally the best of the best) gaming experience eventually.
Ofc, take that with a grain of salt from someone who would never buy a GPU for a four-figure amount, a good gaming keyboard for 100€ - 200€ probably doesn't hurt you as much as it would me. Steelseries and Razer have copied Wooting's tech, but obviously not as good as the real deal. Check Optimum Tech's yt channel for reviews on them.
Can you dm me your order nr? Two he should be on stock
Just looking for a cheaper alternative to the Wooting with the same key features. I don't care about aesthetics or sound as long as it has great performance and a good software.
So basically I’m trying to find a cheaper version of the wooting keyboard cause I hear the wooting got like these hall affect shi and rapid triggers and I’m lowkey too broke to just get a wooting 60he
I have been on the debate on getting a 60HE but also read that there are much better alternatives for the same/cheaper price. I wanted to know how exactly good are these alternatives when it comes to sound and performance (mainly)?
Budget max 350€
Are there any alternatives to the Wooting 80HE when it comes to features and specs?
Im currently looking for a new keyboard, since my old Corsair one drove my insane thanks to ICUE.
Im currently planning on going for 2 Keyboards 1 60/70/80 one for gaming and another 100% one for editing/work.
The good thing about the Wooting would be that from what I've heared they have a really good app, pretty much the best specs possible and features like snappy tappy. I have also heared some bad things tho, like for example that the build quality (even on the zinc one) sucks.
I do also need a wrist rest, but i think you can add them to all keyboards
Do you maybe have any recommendations?
I have a Wooting 80HE currently but after using it for sometime I don't really enjoy the typing experience, and for gaming I have not noticed a huge difference in my gameplay, if any. I'm currently in the middle of selling it for what I bought it for.
Taking this into consideration is there any keyboard on the market that's wireless and offers a very creamy/thick typing experience without an obnoxious spacebar out-the-box that is hall effect too?
I've had my eye on key chron but I've heard about issues there too with the space bar. The space bar was my biggest gripe with this keyboard. It sounds absolutely horrendous. My 12 year old membrane Microsoft keyboard's spacebar sounds better.
Preferably from Amazon have $150-$170 with my Amazon gift cards.
