r/keyboards on Reddit: Anything better than Wooting 60HE
September 3, 2023 -

I play Valorant a lot and so many of my friends have gotten the Wooting 60HE and have raved about the counter strafing feels so much smoother and the speed of letting go your button is insane.

I don't want to wait months for it to be delivered. Is there any keyboard that matches that level? Or will there be soon?

November 16, 2025 - It’s very similar to the popular Nuphy Air60, but with magnetic switches — and you can choose Gateron magnetic Jades or Jades Pro. Very reasonably priced at $119.95. Keydous NJ98-CP V2 HE is a great alternative to the Wooting Two HE.

r/keyboards on Reddit: Looking for a keyboard, similar to wooting 60he

I'm not very knowledgeable on keyboards, so i was wondering if there was a mechanical keyboard(preferably 60 or 80%) that is really fast and responsive, optimized specifically for games. My budget sadly cannot afford a wooting so I was hoping there was something cheaper. I accidentally lean on some keys and my favourite feature about the wooting is how you could set the actuation point, and im not sure if any other keyboards do that? Any help is appreciated.

r/WootingKB on Reddit: Wooting Competitors (As of now)
June 6, 2024 -

I’m currently deciding between the Monsgeek MG75S (Akko and Monsgeek have narrowed the software lead of Wooting considerably), Nuphy Field75 HE (Coming out in like a week or so), and the Wooting 80HE (Software leader).

The reason why these boards specifically is due to the fact these brands ACTUALLY will/do make their software IN-HOUSE. Unlike the generic chinese software used by other brands. Right now, I’m leaning towards the Field75 HE. They are promising VERY good specs such as “8K Polling” (which means nothing), (16k single key Scan Rate) (2K Full-Key Scan), Analog input, and of course rapid trigger.

I would like to hear all of your inputs for my decision! Almost done replacing all of my peripherals with the best durable components (HE controller, Optical mouse) [For the price*]

r/keyboards on Reddit: need new keyboard suggestions / wooting-80he alternatives
November 22, 2025 -

Hello everyone,
I’ve been using Logitech keyboards for years, but I’ve always had the same issues with them (just like many others). At first, I was simply looking for a keyboard that wouldn’t cause problems for at least 2–3 years and would perform well.

Right now I’m using the K835 TKL. I bought it because it’s smaller than my previous keyboard, but as an old pro gamer who still plays most games at a high level, this keyboard just doesn’t give me what I need. It doesn’t register key presses unless I push them at least 50%, which is a big problem for me.

So I started looking for new keyboards and came across Wooting. They seem to be the best option so far, but they’re definitely not budget-friendly. After 3–4 hours of searching and another hour reading Reddit comments, I realized the keyboard world is way bigger than I thought. Since I don’t know much about keyboards, I thought maybe someone here could help me out.

Basically, I need a gaming keyboard with the following:

  • won’t cause issues for at least 2–3 years

  • Hall Effect switches would be a big plus

  • small layout — no F1–F12 row, but better have arrow keys

  • light actuation (I want keys to register with around 10% press)

  • customizable keyboards are a big plus

These are the keyboards I found so far. I don’t think I’ll find the “perfect” one, but I’d like to choose the best option for my needs:

  • Wooting 80HE (€319.99) – very pricey, even more expensive if you don’t want the plastic case, also has an F-row

  • Wooting 60HE (€179.99) – pricey, but no arrow keys

  • Polar 75 ($99.99) – has an F-row, nice design, but I’m not sure about the quality

  • KB65HE (€99.90) – great that it has the extra key since I live in Germany (european keyboards has 12 keys between capslock and enter, english ones apperently has only 11), but I’m not a big fan of the design; not sure how good it is

  • M1 V5 (€100.99) – has an F-row, some nice designs, but I’m not sure I can type well without seeing what I’m typing; again, not sure about the quality

Right now I’m leaning towards the Wooting 60HE, then the KB65HE, and then the Polar 75. If there are any other keyboard recommendations, I’d love to hear them.

Also another least important question, if i buy a keyboard, where, how to edit them? is quality gonna be good/is it gonna be cheap?

Any comment would help me shape my decision. Thank you so much in advance! I also hope this post helps others in the future.
