PA drivers license help
You can contact the PA DMV for the most accurate information. Some states require you to get a car driver license before you can get a motorcycle license. Other states (like PA apparently) let you get just a motorcycle license. Since operating each of those vehicles requires a special set of skills, having a motorcycle only license will not let you operate a car on your own, even if you have a permit. Pages 3 and 4 of the Pennsylvania Driver Manual (see the right hand side of this page for a link) https://www.dmv.pa.gov/Driver-Services/Driver-Information/License-Types/Pages/default.aspx provide the Junior learner permit restrictions. As others have noted, you can't operate a vehicle/drive a car by yourself (excepting motorcycles, where you are supposed to be observed by an M endorsed rider while riding before you get your mc license) with just your permit. Once you get your license, it will automatically be a regular license (since you're 18+) so you won't have to go through the Junior License restrictions, but everyone learning to drive has the same permit restrictions whether you are 15, 26 or 70. I hope your practice and eventual behind the wheel tests go well! More on reddit.com

My former representative hosted an enrollment event at the county courthouse. I think it was back in 2019. His office had PennDOT representatives and all the county office workers there that evening to help everyone with the documentation that they needed. It made the process a little easier. I (26) currently hold a motorcycle license, but no car license. Since winter is coming I want to get a car, but I can't seem to find any answers on the specific restrictions?
Given that I already have a valid license will I still need someone else that's licensed in the car with me when I get my permit? Or am I free to drive on my own without restrictions?

Driver's Licenses and ID Cards
In late 2020, DMV phased-in a new driver's license issuance program, in compliance with the Real ID Act of 2005. Customers renewing or applying for a driver's license or identification card credential, in the regional offices, at the kiosks, or online, now receive a temporary card/receipt, valid for 60 days, and their permanent credential will be mailed to them as part of the central issuance requirement for REAL ID.
