So I received a massive bill in the mail from Express toll for my company vehicle and I'm trying to pay it off but their website is completely non-functional and their phone number says it's disconnected. Does anyone know how to pay this off another way? I'm sure it's accruing late fees but I have literally no way to pay this due to ExpressToll's inability to maintain a working website and phone number. Mail is not an option as I have to pay with a company credit card. Any ideas? Wtf express toll....
I received a “License Plate Toll Statement” in the mail today for E-470 in Colorado. At first I thought it was a scam because 1. I live in Indiana and 2. I have never been to Colorado.
So I looked a little deeper and realized that the plate # listed isn’t even mine and while the billing address is, the name is my maiden name that has not been on my car for over 2 years.
I didn’t want to call the number on the bill because if it was a scam, I didn’t want to talk to the scammers so I went to the Colorado government website and found from there where to call about tolls. Which, as it turns out, is the exact same info that’s on the bill.
I was on hold for a while but when the rep was finally available she was very nice. I explained it wasn’t my license plate number and I have never been there before and she said it was a semi truck that drove the toll. I actually started laughing and said that I don’t even know that I could get into a semi, let alone drive it! (I’m 5’3” on a good day and about 35 weeks pregnant so moving around has never been more difficult)
She didn’t really know what to do so she grabbed a supervisor, who told me she was dismissing the charge and not to pay the bill (like I was going to anyway?)
So I asked what to do next, worried it would happen again and try to figure out why it happened in the first place and they basically had no answers. I am not sure what to do now either but I am very nervous about the whole situation, any advice?
