Hello! please help me folks...I want to learn the piano and know just the basics about the keys weight and timbre. I did a brief research and Im assuming that the p47 and p125 are decent pianos for beginers. The p125 is more expensive but what makes it better than the p45? Is the p45 a good choice? What would I be missing by buying the p45? Thanks in advance!
Hello good people
I've decided that I want to take up learning how to play the piano.
I am an absolute beginner , I've never played the piano before.
I want to know some essentials before I commit to buying anything.

I want to know which digital piano to purchase , the p45 or the p125.
-
I want to know if I HAVE to buy paddles as well.
-
any other essentials for a beginner would be much appreciated.
Yes, you definitely need to buy a sustain pedal. The supplied pedals with the P45 or P125 are pretty unusable. The P45 is the best value, same action and same sound generator as P125. The P125 way better speakers a better interface and those smart functions that sound really cool.
If you have no decent headphones or you like to play with the speakers then the P125 is your option. If you have good headphones and you usually practice in silence then the P45 is your choice.
Decent headphones don't cost that much and you can ofc also go the route of piano VSTs but that opens up another chapter.
Hope that helped.
I recently started playing the piano (last December) and bought a P45 a few months ago. It is quite incredible in my opinion, with nice keys and amazing sound. This could be average compared to other digital piano's, but to me it is amazing. The only downside is the pedal, which squeaks and was difficult to press down, I'd definitely buy a better one.
Good luck in your piano journey!
