Hi there,
As we know the z690 mainboard is compatible with 12th and 13th gen Intel processors.
As Intel tends to change their sockets every two years. Will the pricey z790 be a better gambling when the 14th Gen processors will come? Will the z690 survive? And will the z790 remain compatible?
I asking this because I plan to build a Gaming PC with this:
-
I9 13900k
-
32GB DDR5 6000
-
GTX 3090ti
-
4TB SN850X
My build should be bullet proof for the GTX 4090 (kind of is) and hopefully for the 14th gen Intel Processors.
Is Gambling 200 euro (Z790 vs 7690) on a mainboard a good strategy ?
Apart from USB, WIFI 6e and not having to update the bios; any significant benefits from adding a s790 in a new build?
What are your thoughts?
